Young Israel of New Rochelle (YINR), a member of the National Council of Young Israel, is a vibrant and growing Modern Orthodox synagogue with over 430 member families located in southern Westchester County, New York.

Founded in 1957, YINR thrives under the leadership of its rabbinic team. Rabbi Reuven Fink and his wife, Abby Fink, have provided spiritual guidance for over 40 years, contributing to the community's expansion and success. Associate Rabbi Chaim Axelrod and his wife, Yael Axelrod, joined our community in 2016. Together, they provide our community with warm pastoral care, engaging sermons, halachic direction, classes, spiritual guidance, and leadership.

More than just a synagogue, YINR is a community seeking to inspire its members with a love for Hashem and people, and a steadfast commitment to halacha, mitzvot, and Torah learning. YINR offers four daily Shacharit minyanim, a Mincha/Maariv minyan, and two late Maariv minyan options.

There are three regular Shabbat morning minyanim, as well as, a Sephardic minyan. We host daily daf yomi shiurim along with various other ongoing shiurim offered by our rabbis and other teachers, as well as, special lectures and scholar-in-residence programming. Our community boasts a beautiful, state-of-the-art mikvah and a separate kaylim mikvah.

Our congregation is diverse, comprised of people from different age groups, educational backgrounds, and religious experiences. We offer educational and social programming for tots, young children, teens, and adults. Our resident Youth Directors run an active youth department, including a Shabbat Teen Minyan, Shabbat youth groups and a variety of programs for over 500 children.

Beyond our walls, YINR is passionately committed to Medinat Yisrael and Israel advocacy, as well as, various social action causes. Our congregants actively engage in numerous chesed initiatives, supporting members, the broader Westchester community, and Jewish communities globally.
